President / Founder
Leslie received her degree in Outdoor Education and Wilderness Skills from Ohio University and was the Training Director of Los Angeles Conservation Corps for eight years. She is a masterful facilitator, program designer and presenter. She founded Fulcrum Learning Systems In 1991 as a means of making the powerful life-changing Fulcrum experience available to more people.
Leo Van Warmerdam
Director of Training & Development
Leo is from Sacramento, CA and graduated with a B.A. in Organizational Communication from San Diego State University. He is certified by the Association for Challenge Course Technology and is a graduate of Landmark Education. Leo brings contagious energy as a facilitator and is known by his peers as the “Game Master.” He is an avid traveler and resides in Venice, California.
Fulcrum’s most-requested facilitator, Michael’s presence is magnetic. With experience and exceptional skill, he has worked with the whole spectrum of Fulcrum’s clients, ranging from inner-city youth programs, private schools, universities, and corporate accounts, to foster home programs, drug & alcohol rehabilitation centers, juvenile delinquent groups, staff development workshops and after-school curricula. Regardless of the client, Michael’s message and peerless facilitation of ‘self-mastery’ has a profound effect on all of our participants.
Ropes Course Safety Manager / Program Lead Facilitator
A former rescue diver and mountain bike racer, Sebastien is a masterful facilitator, delivering leadership & team building day programs for public and private schools, “at-risk” youth groups, and multiple day retreats for students grades 5-12. Sebastien also facilitates personal growth programs for recovery & rehabilitation centers such as Passages, Promises, and Avalon. Fulcrum’s ropes course safety manager, he ensures that every program comes with a safe physical environment for risk-taking. A graduate of University of Colorado, Boulder (BA - Psychology), Sebastien spends his free time with friends, his dogs, building things, and exercising.
Art Director / Program Lead Facilitator
Born in Los Angeles to immigrant parents, Miles joined Fulcrum in 2008, coordinating and implementing team building, personal growth and intervention services for various Southern California school districts. He also administers professional development training for topics such as ‘At-Risk Youth’ Development, Self-Esteem, Group Facilitation, and Self-Actualization. Creator and lead of Fulcrum’s Art Department, Miles is sober and operates Fulcrum-affiliated sober living programs. He has a BA in Fine Arts with a design emphasis from the University of Callaghan, Newcastle, Australia. He is a “Mastery in Transformational Training” graduate and world traveler walking the path of discovery.
Operations Manager / Facilitator
Born and raised in Woodland Hills, CA, Amira has a bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management from California State University Northridge (CSUN.) As an undergraduate, she worked for CSUN’s Outdoor Adventures service - guiding backpacking, climbing and canoeing trips for students and faculty while co-developing CSUN’s in-house team building program. Winner of the Tal Morash Award for excellence in outdoor education, Amira always says yes to good coffee, hot springs, pinball, and travel. She has lived one year in Australia, and has 13 countries on her passport so far. She is proud to be part of the Fulcrum team.
As a member of the Fulcrum team, Siana focuses on client relations and program development. She is a trailblazer in the realm of youth development. With a certification in youth crisis negotiation, she has worked with youth for over a decade, facilitating workshops on spiritual and emotional growth. She is the creator of the "7 Steps to Perfection," a realization and empowerment program for adolescents. She has dedicated her life to touching as many lives as she can through encouraging transformation, inspiring breakthroughs, and being of service. With a B.A. in Political Science, she is currently enrolled in the "Mastery In Transformational Training" legacy program.
Bradford H. Selby
Director of Field Operations / Facilitator
Bradford graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Outdoor Education and has certifications in high angle rescue, lead rock climbing and ropes course advanced skills. He is also a wilderness EMT and brings into play his ten years of leadership development with youth as Director of Field Operations and Facilitator at Fulcrum Adventures.
Kamille Van Warmerdam
Media Director / Facilitator
Raised on a dairy farm in Galt, Central California, Kamille leads Fulcrum’s social media and online communications, keeping the world current on the team’s work of initiating positive change in the world. In her free time there is yoga, volleyball, ice cream, meditation, her dog Obi, and country music. Voted “Delta Gamma of the Year” in college for her impact as a sorority leader, she has a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Merchandising from Cal State Long Beach, and an enduring passion for teaching people how to align with their authentic selves through the clothes they wear.
Margarita is one of Fulcrum's most dynamic facilitators. A life coach and private investigator with advanced training in group processing and individual coaching, she masterfully wields metaphors and creates scenarios that support clients in moving through psychological and emotional challenges with improved communication and clear goal setting. As a Fulcrum facilitator she works primarily with school-aged children. She works also with adults, wounded warriors, and patients at recovery programs such as Passages. She is fluent in Italian, proficient in Spanish, loves writing, photography, and relating deeply with others.
Tina is a USC graduate and draws from an extensive and successful background in business management while facilitating Fulcrum leadership programming. She is a mother of two and enjoys rock climbing and scuba diving.
